Power controller with IO-Link connectivity

07.02.2023 – The power controllers of the GRM-H series are equipped with an IO-Link interface so that extended functions in the sense of Industry 4.0 are possible.

The power controllers of the GRM-H series are based on the scalable GRx platform for the management of electrical loads in industrial heating applications and have integrated diagnostic functions.

They are equipped with an IO-Link interface so that extended functions in the sense of Industry 4.0 are possible. The devices have a current range of 15A ... 120A and enable the control of linear and non-linear loads (MoSi2, SiC SWIR, graphite and transformers).

The GRM-H series offers single-phase power controllers that also allow control of three-phase loads in a master/slave configuration. They are equipped with all major operating modes, allowing control to be adapted to the various characteristics of the heating elements. In addition, the controllers offer feedback algorithms that make them a constant source with variable setpoints for voltage, current or power.

A special feature of the GRM-H series is its IO-Link connectivity. This enables digital communication from the field level to the control level. In addition to cyclical process data, they also provide acyclical process data such as operating hours, current and temperature peaks, and temperature for predictive maintenance of the plant.
