Camera Allows Automatic, Camera-based Quality Inspection

The various types of solar cells can differ significantly in terms of size, shape, color or imprint. Automated quality inspection of dif-ferent types of solar cell therefore put high demands on the flex-ibility of the inspection system. Each characteristic of the object to be inspected is taught-in by the default software so that it can be identified with certainty in quality control. Most types of solar cells are taught-in to cell inspection systems which carry out inspec-tions on the cells in module production. more

TDI Line Scan Cameras for Photovoltaics, Wafer Inspection and Crack Analysis

Schäfter+Kirchhoff delivers a series of TDI line scan cameras which achieve high measurement and scan velocities in low-illumination applications. Cameras using Time Delayed Integration (TDI) technology have a sensitivity about 100 times greater than conventional line scan cameras. Application areas are, e.g., the examination of highly reflecting surfaces (e.g., silicon wafers) with dark field illumination, the detection of micro-cracks in solar cells, and DNA analysis in Biophotonics. more
