Point Grey Showcases at Vision 2016

24.10.2016 -

Point Grey will showcase its latest imaging solutions at the upcoming Vision 2016 exhibition in Stuttgart, Germany. Under the theme of “Empowering Your Innovation”, Point Grey will demonstrate advanced camera technology to address real-life imaging problems and emerging vision applications. Point Grey will unveil a brand new 10 GigE camera family and showcase the benefits and opportunities 10 Gigabit Ethernet offers to machine vision. The new series of GigE Vision-compliant products will feature the latest global shutter CMOS technology and leverage 10 GigE’s high data rates to maximize sensor resolutions and frame rates. The first available model will use the Sony Pregius IMX253 1.1” CMOS sensor, which features 4096 x 3000 (12.3 megapixel) resolution and supports 4K60 Ultra HD video. The camera’s 10 GigE interface will enable raw image transmission at speeds up to 10 times faster than GigE with minimal latency and no compression artifacts, and can be easily connected to standard network switches and interface cards via inexpensive Cat6A copper cable, allowing for flexible and cost-effective deployments over long distances.

Pack 20 Megapixels into the Size of an Ice Cube

Point Grey will introduce a new Blackfly S camera model that features a 20 megapixel Sony Exmor R IMX183 1” CMOS sensor, making this Point Grey’s highest resolution camera to date. Sony Exmor R back-illuminated architecture increases quantum efficiency and reduces read noise for improved sensitivity and dynamic range, resulting in sharp, high-quality, color images. The Blackfly S camera family combines compact size (29 x 29 x 30 mm), a comprehensive feature set, high frame rates, and a diverse range of sensors, making Blackfly S suitable for a variety of industrial, medical, and scientific applications.

Develop Faster with the New Spinnaker SDK

The new Spinnaker SDK is based on the industry-standard GenICam3 reference API and introduces a number of new features to simplify and accelerate the creation of new vision applications. The intuitive SpinView GUI integrates camera control and management software to optimize user experience in evaluating new camera models and features, and allows for fast deployment of user controls. API logging enables code transparency and application debugging. A variety of other new products will also be shown this year, including new high resolution, high performance Grasshopper3 camera models, new 3D vision stereo technology, and Point Grey’s latest 360-deg spherical vision camera.

Point Grey will showcase in hall 1, booth B42.
