The year 2017 is a special year for the industrial camera manufacturer IDS. In 1997, Jürgen Hartmann founded the company together with his former business partner Armin Vogt. Two men, a vision and a success story: This year, IDS is celebrating the 20th anniversary with 220 employees, mainly working at the headquarters in Obersulm, but also internationally at four branch offices and three representative offices.   The first product launched 20 years ago was the FALCON frame grabber PC card. Today, the company sells around 150,000 industrial cameras with USB 2.0, USB 3.0, USB 3.1 and GigE connectors and is one of the largest manufacturers and market leaders in the industry. After a record year in 2016, the current figures for the first quarter of 2017 surpass all expectations with a growth of 17% compared to the previous year and an increase of 25% in incoming orders.
