Dear readers,

a lot has happened in the past weeks: since February 27, Stemmer shares are available at the stock exchange, and Hikvision is planning to conquer the German machine vision market.

Therefore, the camera manufacturer Hikvision and MaxxVision, distributor from Stuttgart, have agreed on an exclusive cooperation in the imaging field in the DACH area. “In recent years, Hikvision have established themselves as one of the largest global camera manufacturers in the CCTV field. I am convinced that the company will achieve a similar performance and become an assured player in the machine vision sector” said Sayed Soliman, Managing Director of MaxxVision.

An equivalent performance is what Stemmer Imaging is also anticipating with their flotation. And according to stock market experts the plan is working out. The just under three million shares were sold for 34 Euros apiece the company announced two days after their IPO. “Not just a milestone, but a turning point”, chairman Christof Zollitsch called the company´s flotation, the highlight of a 40-year success story.

More highlights from the imaging market can be found in our inspect newsletter, including Baumer Optronics´new CX cameras with rolling shutter sensors, JAI´s new high-speed trilinear camera and two new Manta models from AVT.

Enjoy the read and continuously eventful times,

Anke Grytzka-Weinhold
