Control trade fair starts soon
Special area for digitalisation, automation and AI
In just under three months, it's time again: From 5 through 8 May 2020, trade fair promoter Schall will invite participants to the next leading international trade fair for quality assurance (QA): the 34th Control international trade fair for quality assurance. It is the most important international trade event for all aspects of vision technology, image processing, sensor technology and measuring and inspection technology.
Zeiss emphasizes the great benefits of Control for trade visitors: "Here you can find a compact overview of all leading QA solutions," says Michael Lücke. "All exhibitors show their latest developments and innovations on the subject of quality assurance here. No other trade fair guarantees this in this concentrated form. Added to this is the very important personal contact with manufacturers and customers in the same specialist area".
Trend topics: integrated solutions, networked production, artificial intelligence
Prof. Dr. Heiko Wenzel-Schinzer, CDO of the Wenzel Group, refers to relevant trend topics this year: "In addition to the trend towards solutions that can be well integrated into the customers' production process, topics such as networked production or artificial intelligence are pushing to the fore. This is a challenge especially for medium-sized companies". There are many solutions for this at the trade fair.
Discovery of X-rays 125 years ago
This year, the Fraunhofer IPA will again be hosting an event forum. The special show will be organized around the topic "The trends in quality assurance - digitization, automation and AI in practice". The demonstrators will give an impression of how topics of digitization, various automation solutions, including image and signal processing, and methods of artificial intelligence, such as machine learning processes, can be successfully applied in practice.
This year, Fraunhofer IIS celebrates the discovery of X-rays 125 years ago by Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen. The Röntgen Year will therefore also be a control theme. As always, the Fraunhofer Development Center for X-Ray Technology EZRT Fürth will be present as an exhibitor at the Fraunhofer Vision booth in hall 6.
