Luxbeam 4500 DLP Boards
Visitech has just started supply the new Luxbeam 4500 DLP Boards to its customers. The product comprises the brand new DLP Discovery 4100 chip set from Texas Instruments, now covering the full range of display sizes from 0,55" XGA up to 0,95" 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) and UV, IR and visible light ranges.The Luxbeam 4500 DLP Board comes as a plug-and-play module with SW installed. It comprises a Formatter Board and the DMD Board, carrying the various DMD versions and connecting via flex cables. more
Octopus 8 Headed Camera used in Flat Panel Display Inspection
Imaging Solutions Group has worked with a major Flat Panel Display manufacturer to implement an Automated Optical Inspection System (AOI) using the new ISG Octopus 8 headed camera system.The system makes use of 8 Aptina (Micron) 5 MegaPixel image heads for a total unified image size of 40 MegaPixels in a 2 x 4 matrix. This aspect ratio is ideal for wide screen TV LCD Displays. The 8 heads are aggregated into a single unified image and can operate at up to 12 frames per second at full 40Mp resolution for high speed AOI. more

Silicon Software Releases “SmartApplets” for Applications
Silicon Software delivers „SmartApplets" hardware programming as partial solution for applications for its V-series frame grabbers. „SmartApplets" is different to onboard image enhancements or image corrections. It covers complex image preprocessing, segmentation or classification tasks, which are processed on the board FPGA in real-time and with a high algorithmic quality.
