Euresys launches two new acquisition front ends dedicated to the Open eVision image analysis software tools. ActiveGigE for Open eVision and ActiveDcam for Open eVision provide Open eVision developers with a seamless integration and control of any GigE Vision or FireWire (IEEE-1394) camera. With these universal drivers, the machine vision applications developed with Open eVision does not have to rely on a specific camera model - any GigE Vision or Fire Wire compliant camera will work with it out-of-the-box. more

Point Grey Launches Flea3 Camera Series

The first available Flea3 models incorporate an 800 Mbit/s FireWire interface and are based on mono and color versions of the Sony ICX618, a 1/4-inch EXview HAD CCD that runs at 120 FPS, and ICX414, a 1/2-inch CCD that runs at 75 FPS. The Flea3 measures 29 x 29 x 30 mm, and offers new features such as opto-isolated GPIO for industrial triggering and strobe output, non-volatile flash memory for user data storage, and on-camera frame buffer. more
