Teledyne Dalsa is pleased to announce new optimized performance and improved functionality of its popular Spyder3 Camera Link and GigE Vision-compliant dual line scan cameras. Originally launched in 2006, the Spyder3 has a proven track record of performance, and is ideal for OEMs and systems integrators looking for a competitive advantage. The Spyder3 uses Teledyne Dalsa's patented dual line scan sensor technology.
Teledyne Dalsa has unveiled its new large format low light imaging CCD camera, the QuantaPro 2K. The new CCD camera is ideal for astronomical, scientific, and medical imaging. Offering an economical solution through the use of a front illuminated device, the quantum efficiency (QE) approaches that of back illumination, reaching a peak QE of 70%. In addition, the single output format running at 10MHz allows for higher frame rates without the complications of multi-output tap matching.
Features and benefits of the QuantaPro 2K include:

What a colorful world we live in... Well, not really. CCD and CMOS chips are only able to capture luminance values, thus making them color-bind. How is then possible for us to watch television in color? The answer to this contradiction is simple: Television cameras use three chips. Each is fitted with a filter - one per color red, green and blue. more
