AIA Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Korean Machine Vision Industrial Association

The Automated Imaging Association (AIA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korean Machine Vision Industrial Association (KMVIA), a year-old trade association representing machine vision in Korea. "We are delighted to be collaborating with KMVIA in our mutual efforts to advance the understanding and use of imaging and vision technologies," said Jeff Burnstein, President of AIA. more

AIA: Kick Off Meeting for USB3 Vision

The AIA announced the date for a kick-off meeting for the development of USB3 Vision, a new interface standard for machine vision using the USB3 connector. The kick-off meeting will take place from September 12-14, 2011 in Hamburg, Germany. This will be followed by a series of distributed development activities, a presentation of the draft standard at Vision 2011 in Stuttgart, and publication in 2012. more

AIA Announces New Vision Standards Development Director

Robert McCurrach has joined the Automated Imaging Association (AIA) as Director, Standards Development. Bob has over 25 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, with a focus on global engineering management, strategic program and process management, primarily for the nuclear, defense and automotive industries. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University as well as an MBA from Georgia Institute of Technology. more
