3D Package Inspection
Safety is the top priority in the pharmaceutical industry, this relates also to the complete logistical chain from the individual packaging to the bundle, box and transport pallet. Besides of 100% identification of all products and packages the correct filling of bundles, boxes and pallets needs to be verified also. In-line Detection of Dings and Dents
Using an innovative method for 3D topography measurement, the Isra Vision 3D DENTscan inspection system is now available for the inspection of different surfaces for small topographical defects such as dings and dents. Such unwanted deformations are difficult to see with the naked eye. Conventional 2D image processing is not capable of handling the task of detecting flat bumps or irregularities in a reliable manner. Tools for True 3D Point Cloud Acquisition
SAL3D provides easy-to-use, accurate and robust tools for true 3D point cloud acquisition and processing. For easy 2D integration, SAL3D provides ZMap, a flat representation of point clouds, which is a grey level image of floating point values created out of a SAL3D Cloud of Points. Optical Measurement of Gear Teeth
Profile scanners (model scanCONTROL 2800-25) from Ortenburg-based sensor specialist Micro-Epsilon are able to generate digital 3D images of gear teeth and can be used to measure the run-out characteristics of gear shafts with plug-in toothing, bevel gears with hypoid toothing and similar axial components. more
Tordivel launches Scorpion Pizza Sorting System
The modular system comprises a conveyor, an ejector unit, machine vision hardware and software. The system is designed to meet the IP-grades and wash down requirements of the food industry. The following core functions describe the system: Locate the pizza, measure the diameter, thickness profile and edge defects. Based on the measurements the user can set up the sorting criteria in a user friendly graphical user interface.
