Art is about using our eyes interpreting images. Framos is a company that specializes in imaging technology and has been building up its "Young Art Collection" since 2011, selecting photographs and works that form a bridge between technology and art. FRAMOS operates as an imaging technology partner all around the world. Every year it supports an artist through its "Young Art Collection". This scheme perfectly complements the design and architecture of the company's headquarters in Munich.

The award is aimed at up-and-coming art photographers whose work looks at the world in new ways and highlights new perspectives beyond the obvious. As an imaging company, and under the patronage of Dr. Andreas Franz, Framos focuses on photography as a representation of reality that is realistic yet at the same time abstract. The works submitted can be photographs, photo collages, photo montages or experimental art photos.

To apply for the Framos Young Art Collection 2016 you should send your image, an abstract (approx. 1000 characters) and your CV no later than 30 June 2016. A panel of judges will choose the winning entry from all the submissions. Not only will the winning work be promoted in the press and online, but FRAMOS will also organise a vernissage to present it to the public.
